It seems like within in the last six months we have been to the moon and back; but, I wouldn't have had it any other way.
1: Whenever Robert is feeling extra sentimental he brings home flowers. I should also point out that the whole "bring your wife home flowers" thing usually isn't his cup of tea. It has come to mean a great deal and something very special when he surprises me with flowers. Cute, right?
Not so cute? When you see them 4-5 days later and they are as dead as dead can be. I always joke with Robert that flowers are the worst symbol of love, ever. Yes, I LOVE it when he brings home flowers, but it's depressing when they die. Who wants flowers to be a symbol of their love for their significant other, when it dies soon after? Lame, I know.
2: Robert= smartest husband award. For Valentines day, instead of buying me a traditional bouquet of roses, he bought me a cute little rose plant (who likes traditional things anyway?) That friends, is a real flower that symbolizes love. It doesn't die after three days; it keeps growing.
3: Said rose plant bloomed for the first time today, on our sixth month anniversary.
Along with our cute little rose plant, we celebrated with Peanut Butter Cheerios and Cafe Rio. Robert and I were off of sugar when said Cheerios came out on the market which was incredibly depressing, since we are both PB fanatics. They were completely worth the wait. Delicious.
Happy Six Months, Husband.
