Painting

A new house, of course, means lots of painting and redecorating. Last Saturday Robert and I managed to run over for a few hours to help them paint away. 

This was the only picture I was able to snap. Jimmy decided his Halloween costume was going to be a pirate. He pulls it off so well. ( I was thinking more of a gangster, but I decided it was probably best not to suggest it. :)

As for WEDDING PLANNING..... Its coming along. Bridal shower announcements went out, we get our invitations today, and the address list is done. (almost).

Wedding Planning, Vacationing, and Schooling.

I am sure you have all heard this from every single engaged person out there; but the last month and a half has been OUT.OF.THIS.WORLD.  
Between Robert and I,  life couldn't get any more hectic. Robert works from about 6-5 (it varies, but that's the average) everyday, and is going to school part time. I work from 8-6 and am also trying to trudge through Anat & Phys and Psychology. Add planning a wedding on top of that; on a good night we get a whole five hours of sleep!


Putting all the craziness aside, I didn't think it was possible to get any happier. My cute friend Jani (who just got hitched...Ye-ah!) and I were talking one day and she said something along the lines of  "Just when we thought life couldn't get any better than London........it does." That sums life up perfectly. Sometimes I just crash in my bed after a long day and think "how did I get so lucky"?


Though this summer has been BUSY BUSY BUSY,we have managed to escape on two much needed vacations. 
Over Memorial Day we went to Zions for the epic Davis Family Reunion. I got to meet the WHOLE Davis clan. (Yes, there are a lot of them, and I can't wait to be part of them.) It was the perfect weekend.


 On Friday Julie, Nathan, Robert, Robert's Dad, their good friends the Jensens, and I set up to hike Lady Mountain. I should also mention that the trail has been closed since the 1940's . It was a blast, and I don't think I would have survived without Robert's mountain goat-ing skills (the guys really is out of control). The rest of the weekend was just....epic. It was definitely a much needed break.

Our second adventure was to Logan this past weekend for Jani girl's wedding! It was a beautiful outdoor reception, and she looked gorgeous, of course.  We met in London and just clicked. London wouldn't have been the same without her and I am so excited for her! It was fun to get go through the whole engagement and dating process together, and now she is married and partying it up in Cancun. 

Robert and I were also able to spend time with Robert's grandma and Aunt Becky who live in Logan. It was my first time meeting both of them and they are just the sweetest. Robert even had time to fit in a lawn-mowing job. (yes, that's Grandma Keeley's hat). 

As we drove into Vegas I think we both wanted to start to weep. One, because it was 108 degrees; two, it's never fun to go back to reality. (especially when it includes two killer Anatomy exams this week.) BUT- we got home to this little gem:

MARATHON- CHECK

and we will definitely be going back for more.

On April 9th (which was conveniently my dad's birthday) Robert and I set off for our marathon (ing) adventure! And yes, I most certainly made that a verb. We have been training for the marathon since the beginning of January, and have enjoyed every 5, 9, and 23 mile run.  To everyones surprise, after running a grand total of 403 miles together, we aren't sick of each other. 

Well-- let me rephrase that, I am not sick of his company, and lets just hope it's the same on his part. 

Dad ran a 10k and finished first in his age division. He deserved it, that man is a beast. (in the most sincere way) I don't think he would have spent his birthday any other way. Melissa, Ernie, the boys, and mom all came to cheer us on at the end. It was so nice to have them there! They even brought us recovery drinks and bars. After we all headed over to Sweet Tomatoes for dad's birthday lunch. All in all, it was a good day. 

Next on the list- Triathlon

I guess I should also put conquering Anat & Phys with an A. Eh.
