Weeping.

There are something in life that just makes me want to weep, and then weep again:
leaving London,
waking up at 5 minutes before my alarm goes of at 4:57 knowing I can't go back to bed,
wearing sandals when it starts to snow in May,
being hungry (but that is just a whole other story)
having a runny nose
and- oh yeah,
  midterms
(when every professor feels the need to throw an exam and project at you)

That's all.

Other than that- life is good. (once this week is over)
Especially since after this lovely week, we get to plant our garden.
Three cheers for garden composts and fresh veggies.

My Best Friends Wedding

Today was my best friends wedding. Sarah was beautiful, Chase was handsome, the food was delicious, the cake was perfect (my awesome lil sis, Layne made it.)  the decorations were perfect, the friends were fun, the colors were whimsical; I loved every minute of it, but most of all: I loved the Bride & Groom. {now Mr. & Mrs. Chase Wasden}

It was one of those weddings where everything seemed to be exactly what it needed to be. The coupled just glowed and everything just felt, right.

Being there in the midst of it all brought me back to 8 months and 28 days ago when my Mr. Right and I walked out of the same doors.
I love weddings.

I love what they represent, I love all the family and friends that are brought together, but mostly, I love weddings because it reminds me of how lucky I was to have that day with my perfect groom.

Ropes Course: Revamped

Last night Robert and I had the opportunity to go to the BYU-Idaho ropes course.

If you have ever been to Rexburg, than you know that the weather is pretty sketch. A few days ago it was 85 degrees, sunny, and zero wind. Today it was cold, and then we got the ropes course and it was 35 degrees and windy.

Thirty minutes, rain & sleet like Noah's flood later, the rest of the group had scattered and the determination Robert and I had to get all the way up came to a halt since I could no longer feel any part of my hands and forearms. I wanted to weep and then die from the pain. (that wasn't me be dramatic)

Oh, and I was blindfolded and we were connected with a rope. It also made me grateful for my super outdoors-y type husband, who I could trust guiding me up a 50 ft wooden pole.

That was our fun experience for the week. But really, we had a lot of fun (except for the wanting to weep and then die part).

Next up: My best friends wedding, and the Davis Family Reunion.

The Book.

A while back I shared my odd appreciation for BS answers on exams; you know the classic "find x" and El Nino Story (which if you haven't read, you probably should, here. It's probably my favorite funny in the whole world).
Today I found out they made a WHOLE book. Guess just went to the top of my Amazon Wish List? That's right.
They had a preview, and this may be a new favorite. (The Mariah Carey answer).

Since my weekend has just become that much better, I hope you have a happy weekend, too. :)

Twenty-Three and a Half Hours

I love going to school. There is just something about diving in and learning everything about something you love; for me, that is our body: both Anatomy & Physiology (but preferably physiology)  health, exercise, and nutrition. I have loved getting into the upper level classes for this very reason.

Did I also mention Robert-o also loves this kind of stuff? (Since we are both in the same field of study, it would make sense :) Sometimes I feel like we can get a little nerdy when our conversations hold excitement about what we learned in our Physiology classes that day.

Last week I stumbled across this video and fell in love. This doctor did extensive research and came up with the following. It is pretty much common knowledge, but I like the way that he puts it. Especially since 1/3 of Americans are obese, over 1/2 are overweight and another half are at risk of Cardiovascular disease.
Enjoy!

I am pretty much out on a campaign for everyone in the world to see this video- so please, share with your friends. :)
