We did it! Robert and I are finally moved into our
second apartment as a married couple, with many more to go, I am sure (Robert is going to medical school). So far, I already like it better than our last; don't get me wrong, I loved our first apartment, but this one is cheaper, more homey, and it has a crimson red door (how could I not like it more?).
This is the door. I saw it and knew this apartment was it (and we had already put our deposit down).
I would show you more pictures, but our apartment is still in the process of being put together. After moving twice in the last four months, I am vowing to get rid out half our stuff. I have decided to unpack one room at time, thus forcing us to make multiple donation trips to DI, and recycling. I'll say it, I can't handle clutter and disorganization. OCD.
Although I don't have pictures, here are my favorite things about our new home:
*Garden (Robert was more excited about this than anything else)
*Garden compost
(If you can't tell, this place is making us more crunchy)
*Location: It's across the street from the farmers market, library, and a short walk to school.
*The red door
*Our bathroom shower head- but really, it's the coolest shower head that probably exists.
*PANTRY!! It is almost unheard of to have a pantry in an apartment in Rexburg, and I la la la love it.
*Storage space (in the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms)
*Master bedroom closet(s). That's right, two closets. Poor Robert had to move into the second bedroom closet in our last apartment, and this bedroom has two nice, big, closets.
*Most of all- my roommate. That will probably always be my favorite part of any home :)
Happy Friday!
