Yep, thats right. It has been one of those weeks where you just feel like you are on fire by Friday. {in a good way} Robert and I are unemployed! {in a good way}. Last week my Anatomy professor asked me to be a TA in the Winter, and to do that I need to be a volunteer TA for BIO 264. Am I completely stoked? YES! Robert is now a Biology research volunteer for a professor here on campus, and loving it.{In case you didn't catch on, we really like the volunteer title} Last time I checked they were doing some DNA extracting with some random, un-heard {he begs to differ} of animal. It's been that week when my phone completely breaks. {in a good way}. I have become a much better planner, considering by the end of the day Robert has to know where to find me so I have a way to get home. I also get to spend that much more time with Robert so I don't get lost {because I am one of those kinds of people}. I also get to spend more time with him so I can use his cell phone {the only means of communication I have with others}. In other words, no complaints here; phones break away! I also aced both my exams and I am just feeling good. Yep, it was an {on fire} week.
In celebration of having one of those weeks, I decided to be adventurous! Robert was being all studious, and I just felt like doing something else. If you recall from this post, we are rolling in the produce, mostly zuchinni and figs. I decided it was about time I use them in a big batch {not together}.
First, I made broiled figs with rosemary cream cheese:
Second, I made zucchini bread. I got the recipe off this new-found cooking blog. I tried to health-ify it, but it didn't work out so well, considering I don't have a wheat grinder, or agave nectar. {oh the things I took for granted when I lived at home}. I haven't tried it yet, but Robert just did. His eyes got really big, so I am making an inference that it is the best thing he has ever put in his mouth.
To cap off my {on fire} week. I found this little gem:
