My Perfect Wedding; The Reception

More wedding pictures! The reception was in my backyard. I love garden receptions, and I wanted to be at a place that was special to me and I would always remember. What better place than my backyard that I grew up in for the last fifteen years! 

I loved our florist, I really didn't want matchy, matchy everything and she did a great job. She even made me two bouquets! One to toss and one for me to keep and dry out. 

Robert and I both have a love for Europe, hence the European/ French garden theme. My favorite part was probably the Patisserie {mostly because I put so much work into designing it and making the cake stands!} I really don't have any love for cake, so we shook things up, and had pie instead. My last favorite part; the food and the Italian Soda's. {but most of that will be in another post}.

The Little Things

There are something in life that just seem to make the whole world seem perfect. Mine?

There are numerous others who contribute just as well, but this one is special. Just look at him? Perfection? That's right, I know it went through your mind too. You just look at him and can't help but smile.

Tonight was one of those nights that I just can't help but think he has made my life bliss. We were in the kitchen making our breakfast apple granola bake

listening to Joshua Radin, and I may or may not have been making fun of him because he managed to slice his finger with a peeler like a bajillion times. It was just one of those moments when you feel like you are in a movie watching your life, and everything is just how you wanted it from the time you were a little girl of five years.

Here is to the things in life that make the whole world seem perfect.

Pomegranate Love

Midterms. Yes, they are over. Robert and I couldn't be happier. We both have managed to get an A on every single test we have taken this semester {except for one, which we just don't talk about} and are very grateful that we are both studious, more or less.

Last weekend my family came up from Las Vegas and brought us pomegranates from their voluptuous pomegranate tree; as it so happened our Bountiful Baskets was bountiful in pomegranates. Last night we finally got around to peeling and bagging the seeds. Half for the freezer, and the other half for the fridge. {we put them in anything and everything, really}

This morning I woke up Robert making whole-wheat pomegranate waffles for breakfast in bed! We cuddled in bed, ate Robert's delicious waffles and watched the snow-fall. Yes, it was a perfect morning. 

To top the day off  we even got around to milling our wheat! Last week we got our new Kitchen-Aid toy:

A Grain Mill!

Needless to say, I was excited to use it. In celebration I made cranberry {sugar-free, whole wheat} pumpkin bread. Okay, I will say it, it sounds weird, but delicious! 

 I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday! We will be just breaking the cardinal rule and listening to christmas music before Thanksgiving while watching the snow and eating Zucchinni Pizza & cranberry pumpkin bread.
