Baby Love

*** No. I am not pregnant.

I have had a theory about the future Wixom children since I was little. Because I come from a family of 6 girls, and no boys, my theory is that all six of us would have all boys. So far, my theory has held true. As of today (Collette just found out), we are 4 of 4 right now.

Meet baby Darwin Wixom-Call. Due in September

Meet baby Emerson Purcell, due 2-3 weeks later!

My dad was so excited to find out. Although he loved having all girls, I think having little boys around will be good. My two nephews are both SO excited.

Oh! What can happen in two days time.

As of late, my life has looked somewhat like the following:

Attack of the spiders. We live in a basement apartment and little did I know, spiders like to congregate in basements. After being convinced I was on my death bed because I had been bitten by a hobo-spider (or at least thought I had), our FHE consisted of spider proofing our house. And, Robert is just that patient enough with me to go to the store at 10 at night. This is now my new favorite friend:

Clumsiness: Yesterday I was walking home from school. Clumsy award goes to yours truly, not one but two days in a row. I dropped my phone, which seems to happen more often that not..... but this time it was more tragic.

Crock-Pot Disasters: When I got home, my trusty crock pot failed me. Dinner was scorched. When I mean scorched, I meant I walked to my front door it smelt so bad I literally thought I had burnt our apartment to the ground. I guess I used up my crock pot points this month or something, considering I use it multiple times a week.

Tennis Shoes: Ode to my running shoes. I never really though I would be tired of these, but lately they seem to be on my feet ALL the time. Between the gym, my aerobic fitness techniques class (it certifies my to be a fitness instructor), and my exercise physiology having us to practical application (like learning what lactic acid build up is like in our legs due to the lack of O2 in glycolysis), I am starting to get sick of wearing my trusty shoes.

Food: At the end of the day, this seems to be all that I want to eat. Remember SugarBush Farms? Well, I'm not much of a cheese and crackers person, but this....this is good cheese.

At the end of a long day of breaking phones, dropping glass bottles (I'll save that adventure for tomorrow. It's still too soon, considering I am still trying to mop up the stain), burning crock pot meals, and endless working out, good ol' Hickory & Maple cheese, and little husband time is all I need.

Just Keep Rowing.

The first week back to school? Check.
Changed my classes and schedule....7 times? Check
Waking up at 5 am again? Check
My body completely sore from lifting again? Check
Scholarship for Senior year?  Check
Like my classes? Correction, love my classes? Check and Check.
TA'ing for a genius Anatomy professor? Yes.

All in all, it was a pretty successful first week back to school. As most of my friends we finishing up finals for Winter semester, I was just getting back into the swing of things for the Summer semester. It was a good week back to school, but the weekend hasn't lost it's appeal.

First, Robert and I were able to watch Tristan & Markie's adorable daughter, Ellie. I think she stole Robert's heart.

I guess it's a good thing that kids adore Robert, since he wants to go into Pediatrics and all. I should probably be worried if kids didn't like the guy.

Robert and I also found our new favorite activities to take part in at the gym. Sometimes getting up at 5 to work out can be a little hard if you don't have something exciting to look forward to.

Our solution?
Rowing
&
Swimming
 (not at the same time)
Our gym has these rowing machines. The coolest part is that you can race against anyone else on a rowing machine in the gym. Needless to say, Robert slaughtered me. I guess I can only expect that much from someone who could probably bench 1 1/2  of me. We also discovered the swimming pool, and that too whipped me. I forgot how exhausting swimming laps is! It may be my new favorite work out (besides running).

I also got around to making bread. Robert is a breadahaulic which has encouraged me to make breads, rolls, etc more often. My mother in law was so kind to give me her bread recipe (because it's just that good) and I was able to make it today. Just as good as I remember!

Happy Weekend!
